Bought a $160 wireless meat probe and it died after 2 cooks

I picked up one of those Meater probes last summer thinking it would be a game changer for my brisket. After two smokes on my Weber Smokey Mountain, the internal temp reading started jumping around like crazy. Tried recharging it and everything but it just wouldn't hold a connection past 3 feet. Anybody else have luck with a different brand that actually lasts?

Heard the Meater ones are hit or miss, people seem to like the Thermoworks Signals better.

Ugh same here! My Meater crapped out after like 3 cooks too, total waste of money.
