Got a 7-day ban from a local Facebook group for a comment about a zoning meeting

I posted 'The councilor's argument about traffic seemed to ignore the data from the 2022 study' after a heated online debate about a new apartment complex. A moderator said it was 'uncivil discourse' and removed the whole thread, locking my account for a week. Has anyone else been banned for what felt like just stating a factual counterpoint?

Check if the moderator has any ties to real estate or construction. I got booted from a neighborhood group for pointing out a conflict of interest... the admin was married to the developer's lawyer. Sometimes it's not about being uncivil, it's about silencing facts that hurt someone's wallet. Your mention of that 2022 study probably stepped on the wrong toes. These groups are rarely about honest debate.
