Got a week-long mute on a big history forum for correcting a mod about the 1918 Sedition Act
I chose to quote the actual text from the National Archives site instead of just letting the wrong info stand, and they said I was 'disruptive'. Anyone know a good place to discuss historical law that won't ban you for citing sources?

Try the legal history subreddit, they're pretty strict about primary sources.

Oh man, that "strict about primary sources" part is so real. I tried posting there once and got my whole post taken down because I used a textbook summary. It was a little harsh, but honestly, I get why they do it. Makes the info you do find there way more solid, you know? Just have to go in ready to dig a bit deeper.
