Got booted from a hiking forum for posting trail conditions

Last month I hiked the Tonto Trail in Arizona and posted a quick update about the water levels at Havasu Creek. Some mod there removed it saying I was 'endangering readers' because I mentioned a washed-out section near mile 12. I wasn't telling anyone to go, just flagging the danger! Has anyone else been silenced for sharing practical safety info on a group? It feels backwards to me.
