Got booted from a local Facebook group for posting a link to a city budget meeting.
I shared a public link to the video stream of our town's budget meeting last Tuesday, because I thought people should see it. The admin said it was 'political content' and banned me without a warning. Has anyone else been banned for something that was just plain public information?

Yeah, that's the kind of thing that makes you wonder what the point of a local group even is... if sharing a public meeting about where our own tax money goes is too political, then what's left? Just lost dog posts and pictures of the sunset. It feels like some admins just want a quiet, conflict-free page, even if it means keeping people in the dark about how the city actually works.

Ever try making a separate group just for town stuff? That's what finally worked for us.

What's the point of a local group if you can't even share public meetings? That's just silly.
