So here is the deal. About 8 months back my beagle got out through the gate and I posted on a local neighborhood app asking if anyone saw her. Three days later I posted again with a photo and the mods flagged it as spam and locked me out for a week. I was pretty mad, so I did the thing where you either fight it or you walk away, and I picked walking away. I stayed off that app for 6 months straight. What I noticed is that I actually started talking to my neighbors again, like in person. My next door guy on Vernon Street found the dog two blocks over and just knocked on my door instead of posting it. The kicker is that when I finally logged back in out of curiosity, half the posts were people asking the same question five times because nobody reads the old threads either. So now I have no idea if that ban did me a favor or just proved the app is a mess. Has anyone else walked away from a group after a ban and actually stayed gone?
