Just hit 1000 followers on a forum before getting a permaban for a dumb joke
It was the old CarTalk subreddit, and I made a joke about a certain German car brand's reliability that apparently crossed a line. The mods said it was 'brand harassment' and nuked my account right after I hit the follower milestone. Has anyone else gotten the boot from a niche hobby sub over something that felt super minor?

The gardening sub banned me for 30 days over a single comment about Miracle Gro. I said their tomato feed was just blue water and got hit with a "misinformation" strike. Some mods guard their little corners of the internet like it's a full time job.

I got banned from a woodworking forum after 800 posts for saying pocket holes were a bit overused. The mod was a huge fan and said I was "undermining the craft." I mean, it's just a type of joint, right? Felt so petty for a hobby forum.
