The week I got banned from a beekeeping forum for asking if honey crystallizing meant it was fake

I posted a simple question after a jar of honey from a farmer's market in Flagstaff turned solid in three days and a mod named BeeLady42 went nuclear on me, calling me a 'honey denialist' before perma-banning me, so has anyone else run into weirdly aggressive hive minds over totally innocent stuff?

Yeah, thats pretty standard for certain niche groups. I had a similiar thing with a sourdough forum. Asked if you could skip the 12 hour autolyse and still get a good crumb, and the mod went on about how I was "disrespecting the craft." Best thing you can do is just find a different forum. The Flagstaff honey thing is real too, some raw honey crystallizes fast if its from certain flowers like mesquite or clover. You probably bought the real deal, but that mod just had a chip on their shoulder.

Not sure I totally agree there. Some forums are just strict because theyve been burned by too many people showing up asking basic questions without reading the rules first. The mod probably thought you were trying to shortcut the whole process without appreciating what goes into it. Different spaces have different cultures, and sometimes its less about having a chip on your shoulder and more about keeping a certain standard.
