Customer asked why I don't just swap brake pads without cleaning the rim, and I couldn't give him a straight answer
Had a guy pick up his Trek 820 at the shop on 4th Street Tuesday, and he asked why I charge $15 extra for pad installs when he can do it himself in 10 minutes. Told him the pads are $8 but wiping the rim with alcohol and checking the housing ferrules is where the real time goes, and he just nodded like I was upselling him. So do you guys itemize that or roll it into a flat tune-up price?
