Appreciation post for the person who recommended "The Bear" at my dentist's office last Tuesday
The hygienist had just finished my cleaning and suggested I watch The Bear while she walked out. I binged all 18 episodes in three days and now I can't look at a kitchen the same way. Anybody else find a show from a random stranger recommendation?

Totally get this feeling. A barista once told me to watch "Patriot" on Amazon and I was hooked after one episode, the show is criminally underrated.

Damn straight it's underrated... @aaron677, what was it about that first episode that hooked you so hard? For me it was the way Michael Dorman's character just casually deals with all this insane spy stuff while dealing with his own depression... that scene where he's singing folk songs to cover his nerves, that got me. Did the barista give you any warning about how weird and funny it gets, or did you go in totally blind like I did?
