I spent 2 months shuffling the deck 7 times because a guy at a con in Baltimore said that was the magic number
I picked up that habit back in March and never questioned it until last month when a math teacher at my local game night asked why I was wasting time. She said there is no number that guarantees a truly random deck, so I was basically doing theater for nobody for 8 weeks. Does anyone actually count shuffles, or do you just wing it until it feels mixed enough?
