Just welded a 3-inch stainless pipe joint with zero porosity on the first try

Had to pick between using my old reliable 7018 rods or trying out a new batch of 316L filler wire for a pressure vessel at the Dalton plant. Went with the 316L, cranked the argon flow up to 25 CFH, and the bead laid down perfectly smooth. Anyone have a favorite brand for stainless filler on high-purity lines?

Feels like that when you finally get the settings dialed in on something. Happens with my old truck too, just a perfect tune-up where everything clicks.
