inSerious question, saw a 'smart' breaker panel install in a new build in Scottsdale
Feels like everything is built to break now. Phones slow down after a year, apps get bought and ruined. Nothing is made to last like old things were. We just accept that everything is temporary.

inMy sauerkraut turned into a science project for a solid month
Yikes, that's rough. I read somewhere that without salt, you're basically just making a weird cabbage swamp for all the wrong microbes.

inMy friend pointed out my 'analysis paralysis' was killing game night
That timer trick is a solid fix for game night. It feels like analysis paralysis is everywhere now, from picking a movie on a streaming service to comparing a hundred reviews for a toaster. The internet gives us endless options and data, which can make even small choices feel huge. Setting a hard limit, like your sand timer, is the only way to snap out of it and actually get on with things.

inA guy at the library gave me the strangest writing prompt
That parking meter thing is genius. Makes you wonder if the guy's a retired English teacher who got tired of normal prompts. My weirdest was a barista telling me to write about a lighthouse keeper who only communicates through recipes.

inTried a 100% opacity background for a portrait and it looked totally flat
My old art teacher used to say a pure black background is a dead background. I kinda get what @oliviak98 means about clean and modern, but that flat look just kills the life for me. It makes the whole thing feel stuck to the paper.
