A lady at the Springfield book fair saw my Coptic stitch and asked if I was 'doing it wrong on purpose'
I was showing off a Coptic bound journal at a small book fair in Springfield last Saturday when a woman leaned in, looked at the exposed chain stitching on the spine, and asked if I was doing it wrong on purpose. I laughed and explained that the visible stitches are the whole point of that binding style, but she just nodded slowly and walked off like I'd confessed to something. Has anyone else had a stranger question a binding choice that was completely intentional?
