Spent $250 on a book press, should have saved for a decent one
Bought that cheap cast iron press from the auction site last month, the one everyone says is fine for starting out. Broke the threads on the third day pressing a 400 page text block in my garage in Akron. I get saving money, but this thing stripped so fast I'd rather have saved up twice as much for a proper nipping press. Anyone else burn cash on gear that fell apart before it paid for itself?
