Took a master binder's advice on paste, it saved my hinge repairs
Old timer at a Guild meeting in Portland told me to stop using PVA for rebinding and switch to wheat paste on the spine folds. I thought he was crazy, but after 3 hinge fixes that actually lay flat, I get it now. Anyone else switched away from PVA and noticed a difference?

Wheat paste shrinks different, so my old cloth covers stay put now.
