Counted my houseplants last night and got to 43, then sat on the floor feeling weird about it
I keep a little notebook where I write down every new leaf on my monsteras and pothos, mostly so I can tell if a plant is actually happy or just sitting there. Last night I went through the whole shelf by the south window in my apartment here in Boise and counted 43 plants total, which is way more than the 12 I thought I had. The part that got me is that 9 of them are all the same golden pothos in different pots, because I kept making cuttings and never gave them away. My roommate saw the notebook on the counter and just laughed, and now I'm wondering if I've crossed some line from hobby into something else. Do you all keep track of your plant counts, or is that a thing only weird people like me do?
