Serious question, did I kill my $60 fiddle leaf fig with ice cubes or was it doomed from the start?
Every plant blog told me ice cubes were the lazy way to water. Figured great, no mess. Three months later the thing drops every leaf and the soil is bone dry an inch down. I pulled it out and half the roots were rotted and half were crispy. Never seen that before in my life. My pothos is fine, my snake plant is fine, this one just fell apart. Now I'm out $60 and a spot by the window. Anyone actually watering these things right, and what are you doing instead?
