My friend in Denver asked me why I bother with fancy weekly spreads when my daily to-do list is always a mess.

That one question from her made me realize I've been spending 2 hours every Sunday on layouts that don't actually help me get stuff done, so has anyone else ditched the pretty spreads to focus on a simple, functional system that actually works?

Yeah that "messy system" thing is so true. I used to waste hours trying to keep color coded tabs perfect, now I just scribble in a cheap notebook and stuff papers in folders. It's way faster when you need to find something last minute. @alices16 is onto something with the notebook switch, it feels more like a working tool than a showpiece. My old binders were pretty but useless when I was actually busy.
