Honestly, the idea that a computer crash is why we keep physical copies is wild to me. Like @river929 said, that's just a backup problem, not a win for paper. What if there was a fire or a flood instead? Those invoices are gone forever. A proper digital backup to a cloud service or a separate drive solves both problems without the filing cabinets.

A crash like that proves you need backups, but physical invoices aren't the only option. A good digital backup system would've avoided the panic too.
