That inventory tracking software I ignored for 8 months finally saved my butt

I was running my little shop out of Richmond, VA using just a notebook and sticky notes to track stock. My buddy kept pushing this cheap $30 a month app called Sortly and I told him it was a gimmick. Then I lost a $1,200 order because I double-booked a part we didn't have, and after 3 days of pulling my hair out I finally tried it. Now I'm actually seeing what sells and what's just gathering dust - anyone else have a system they swore was fine until it blew up in their face?

I heard a podcast where a guy said using spreadsheets for inventory is like using a flip phone in 2024 - it works until it really doesn't. Glad you found something before that $1,200 mistake became a habit.
