Spent 45 minutes trying to bone out a chuck roll and realized I left my knife at home

Grabbed my backup boning knife from the drawer and it was dull as a butter knife. Has anyone else walked into a shift completely unprepared and just had to grind through it?

My first week at Gordon's I showed up without my knife roll and had to use a house knife that was basically a spatula with a point... honestly made me a better cutter because you learn to work with what you got instead of relying on gear.

My buddy Steve left his knives at home once and @victor219 had to loan him a dull house knife that made his cuts look like he was sawing wood.
