Swapped my band saw for a handsaw on lamb legs, never looked back

Used to fight every lamb leg through the band saw, losing way too much meat to bone dust and ending up with jagged edges. About 4 months back I switched to a 12 inch boning knife and a cheap bone saw for the aitch bone only, and the yield difference is almost 2 pounds per carcass. Has anyone else made this switch, or am I crazy for trusting my arm over the machine on a busy Friday rush?

That 2 pound difference is no joke, that adds up fast over a Friday rush. I feel your pain on the band saw battle, sometimes the old school way just wins.
