I finally tried that new compression tool from the supply truck after my foreman in Toledo swore it was faster, and now I'm mad I waited so long.
I was sure it was just another gimmick, but after using it to finish a whole apartment complex drop in under two hours last week, I have to admit it actually works. What other 'gimmick' tools have you guys tried that turned out to be worth the money?

Oh man, I know that feeling. I put off getting one of those new laser levels for months, thought it was just a fancy toy. Used my buddy's on a foundation job and it cut our setup time in half. Sometimes you just have to swallow your pride and admit the new stuff works better.
