I finally tried the pull string trick for fishing walls and it actually worked
I've been running cable for 6 years and always did the fish tape thing. Had this job in Dayton last week, old house with insulation packed tight in the walls. Guy I work with said try the pull string and vacuum trick. I told him that was some youtube nonsense. But we were stuck so I tried it. Tied a plastic bag to some mason line, sucked it through with a shop vac from the other side. Took 30 seconds. I felt like an idiot for all the times I fought with a fish tape in insulated walls. Anyone else using this or got other tricks for the nasty walls?
