inThat 1997 job in Phoenix taught me to never trust pre-mixed mud again
That line about the mud sitting tacky for three days hits hard man. I had the same thing happen with a big bucket of pre-mix I grabbed for a bathroom repaint, ended up peeling off the whole next day because the stuff never set right. Swore off that brand completely and now I only buy powder, no sense gambling with your time like that.

inFinally landed that balayage technique I've been struggling with
It finally clicked" is exactly how I felt learning to parallel park - took forever, then one day my brain just got it. Reminds me how we're always told practice makes perfect, but really it's practice plus that random moment where something in your head just decides to cooperate.

inSous vide ribeye 2 hours vs 4 hours - did I wreck the texture?
Oh man, but nobody's talking about whether the meat was cold from the fridge when it went in! I bet a cold start at 130 would mess with the texture way more than if it came up to temp slowly.

inSpent 4 hours trying to fix a pixel grid glitch in Procreate before realizing my canvas was set to 72 dpi
Wait, did you actually catch it the same day or did you have to sleep on it? I swear stuff like that always hits me at 2am in bed. My friend had a similar thing happen with a logo she was working on, she kept messing with the colors for hours and finally realized her monitor was set to "night mode" the whole time. She said the client was sending her these weird comments like "can we make the greens more green?" and she had no idea what they meant until she turned night mode off the next morning. It's wild how our tools gaslight us sometimes (like Photoshop just quietly zooming you in while you work). At least you figured it out before you started over from scratch, I've been there too many times.

inTook me 3 tries to stack a decent Orion Nebula photo
Ugh, seriously? Like I get that it sucks but its not the end of the world. You drove two hours back out, that's dedication, but a lost night of imaging is just part of the hobby. I've left my whole camera bag at home before and just had to watch the stars with my phone. People act like missing one night is a tragedy when you've got a million more chances to try again.
