Question about wall plates and how many people actually use them
Was on a job in an old apartment building downtown. Overheard the super say they just leave coax dangling behind furniture. Said wall plates are a waste of time. I always put them on. Makes the job look clean. But maybe I'm overthinking it for basic installs. Do you guys still bother with wall plates or just tuck the cable behind the desk?

yeah "waste of time" is honestly wild to me. like sure it takes an extra 5 minutes but have you ever had to deal with a wall jack that got pulled loose because someone yanked the cable? i swear half the issues i see at the office are from people not having wall plates. it's one of those things where you don't notice it until it's missing and then you're stuck crawling under a desk trying to fix a port that's been wrecked.
