inSwitched from a crew to going solo and man the difference is night and day
Do you ever worry that going solo might limit how much you can grow your business? A crew gives you the ability to take on more square footage and bigger commercial accounts, which has kept me busy even when residential work dries up. If you find a few reliable guys, the headaches can be worth it for the sheer volume.

inVisited a port yard in Savannah last week and saw something wild on a barge crane
Oh come on, a 40 ton box with no ground crew and that kind of precision is rare even for the best operators. You're basically saying the guy ran a perfect blind pick solely on boom feel and luffing control, which most guys I've watched would struggle to pull off in a tight corner. I've seen too many close calls with containers swinging wild to buy that it was that clean without someone on the ground spotting.

inI finally stopped using a scouring pad on my cutting boards
Couldn't you just flip a cutting board over once one side gets too beat up? That's what I started doing after I realized I was creating canyons in my board with a wire brush. Now I rotate between three boards and hit them all with 120 grit sandpaper once a month, keeps them smooth like glass. I also started rubbing mineral oil on them after sanding and it seals up the surface way better than bleach ever did. The bacteria grooves are real, I used to think I was being thorough by scrubbing hard but I was just making things worse.

My buddy got banned from a hiking forum for saying waterproof boots were better than trail runners on wet rocks.
