A customer in Seattle told me his camera was haunted by a ghost

He brought in an old SLR that would randomly fire the shutter, and swore it only happened when he was alone in his darkroom. I opened it up and found a tiny piece of brass flake from the shutter mechanism bouncing around and shorting the contacts. It took me an hour to find it, but the look on his face when I showed him the 'ghost' was priceless. What's the weirdest 'supernatural' camera problem you've ever solved?

Man, I feel for that guy. Getting spooked by your own gear is the worst feeling. I've had a few cameras with gremlins that turned out to be simple fixes too.

Totally get that. My old DSLR started throwing random error codes last year. Drove me nuts for a week. Turns out the memory card contacts were just dirty. A quick clean with a pencil eraser fixed the whole thing. Felt like a huge relief after all that stress.
