Rangefinder patch went dark mid-job last Saturday

Yeah, my LRF-7 did the exact same thing three weeks ago on a Friday afternoon.

Did your battery die or did the patch itself just stop working? Those rangefinders are notorious for eating through CR123s if you leave them on by mistake. I'd check the battery contacts first, sometimes they get a little dirty and lose connection. If it's the patch itself that went dark, that's a whole different problem probably a firmware glitch or a bad sensor. Either way, it's frustrating when gear fails in the middle of a job especially when you're relying on it for accuracy. Might be worth reaching out to the manufacturer's support, I've had mixed luck with them but sometimes they'll send a replacement if it's a known issue.
