Just realized my camping stove from 2008 weighs almost 3 lbs more than the one I got last spring
Dug out my old Coleman Peak 1 from a bin in the garage last weekend and put it on the kitchen scale next to my newer PocketRocket, and the difference was wild, 41 oz versus 3.5 oz. Back in the day we just accepted hauling a brick because that's what the store in town carried, but now everything is titanium and nesting and under a pound. Is anyone else weirdly attached to their heavy old gear even though it wrecks your pack weight?
