I finally spent $300 on a proper desk chair and it still wrecked my back

Bought this fancy ergonomic chair from a showroom in Portland last month, figured $300 was a deal. Turns out the lumbar support sits way too high for my 5'4 frame and I'm hunched over after two weeks of use. Now I'm stuck with a chair that looks nice but kills my lower back, has anyone else had luck returning these things after sitting on them?

Wait, they let you test sit it in the showroom but didn't mention the lumbar support won't work for someone your height? That sounds like a real oversight on their part, especially for a $300 chair. Most stores around here have a 30-day return policy for furniture, I'd check your receipt or call them Thursday morning before you get too comfortable with it.
