I finally told my neighbor her dog was barking all night and she got mad

Lived next to this woman in Phoenix for like 8 months. Her lab mix would start barking around 2 AM and go until sunrise. I tried earplugs, white noise, nothing worked. Finally knocked on her door last Tuesday and politely asked if she could bring the dog inside at night. She said I was being unreasonable and slammed the door. Now I'm looking up city noise ordinances and wondering if I should file a complaint. Has anyone else had a neighbor get defensive over a noise issue?
