My uncle said one sentence at Thanksgiving in 2019 and the whole table went quiet, I still think about it
We were at my aunt's place in Macon and my cousin had just gotten a promotion at her bank. Everyone was clapping and my uncle just looked at his plate and said "she worked 6 years for that and yall clapped louder when Bobby hit a double in high school." Nobody said a word for like 10 seconds. He wasn't wrong either, we do celebrate the wrong stuff way harder. I tried to bring it up later and got told to drop it because it made things weird. Has anyone else had a family member say something that true but also totally kill the room?
