PSA: I got a 30 day ban from a local Facebook group for pointing out a city council member's arrest record during a debate about a new park.
The mods called it 'personal attacks' but I was just sharing public court records from the county website, and now I'm stuck between thinking they're protecting a bad official or just keeping the peace by shutting down real talk.

Ugh that's so frustrating. I mean facts are facts right? Same thing happened to me last year for posting a link to a voting record. They just don't want the drama.

Yeah exactly, facts are facts. It's not even about the drama really. They just want to control what gets seen. A voting record is public info, but posting it makes them look bad, so they call it "causing trouble" and take it down. It's a way to shut down talk without having to argue about the facts themselves. Happens all the time now.
