Vent: Hit 200 followers on my art page and got told I don't post 'appropriate content'
I hit 200 followers last week on my little art account where I draw spooky stuff. Nothing crazy, just skeletons and ghosts with goofy hats, things like that. My aunt saw it and called me up mad, saying I'm gonna give the kids in the family nightmares and that I should take it down. I told her it's not for kids, it's just my hobby, but she went and complained to my mom. Now my mom says I can't share my art in the family group chat anymore and that I need to be careful what I put out there. I'm 27 years old, I work a full time job, and I still get told what I can and can't post. Has anyone else had family try to police your online stuff like that?

Respecting your aunt and mom, but they're way off base here. You're 27 with a job, not a teenager hiding stuff in your locker. Skeletons with hats are harmless fun, not exactly Friday the 13th material. Maybe just keep the art stuff in your own space and don't share it with the family if they can't handle it.

Yeah exactly, my grandma got weirded out when I painted a smiling pumpkin once, it's just art.
