Foreman swore by wet wood glue, my frame racked anyway
My lead foreman in Boise told me to spread Titebond on damp 2x4s for a load-bearing wall frame, said the water helps it soak in deeper. The wall twisted 3/8 inch out of square after two days and the inspector flagged it before I could brace it. Should I have pushed back on his method, or is this just what happens when you trust the old-timer on green lumber?

Old-timers always trust their habits over science, and that's how we end up fixing yesterday's mistakes today.
