My mailman told me my miter saw was set up wrong and I owe him a beer now
I was cutting trim on my porch last Tuesday in Boise when my mailman Gary stopped and watched me for a minute. He said my blade was cutting on the wrong side of the line and that I was fighting the saw instead of letting it work. I kind of laughed it off, but then he showed me his own trick with a speed square, and my joints got tight on the first try. Turns out Gary built houses for 15 years before he took the postal route, and he just never brings it up. I gave him a six pack and now he checks my cuts every time he drops off the mail. Any of you ever get schooled by someone you would never expect?
