I finally learned to check the closet floor first after a job in Tulsa cost me 3 hours
Was doing a full stretch in a rental near 21st and Garnett last month and the closet floor was so rotted my knee went right through the plywood. Had to pull the whole tack strip, patch the subfloor with a scrap of 3/4 inch, and re-stretch the corner twice. Now I thump every closet floor with my mallet before I even unroll anything. Any of you got a spot you always check before you start, or is it just me being paranoid now?
