My old boss in Phoenix swore by the hacksaw method.

That method @skyler_carter mentioned always seemed risky for precision work. You can mess up the material if the blade wanders even a little. A good jig setup is way safer for clean cuts.

Used to think jigs were overkill until I ruined a piece of maple. Now I get why people swear by them.
