Just finished a job and realized I've laid over 500 miles of carpet in my career
That's like driving from Chicago to Pittsburgh and back, just in carpet. It hit me when I was rolling out the last strip on a big office job downtown. Anyone else ever stop and figure out their total mileage?

I get why you'd keep a notebook but honestly I'd go crazy tracking every foot. The whole point is you just do the work and one day it hits you out of nowhere, like it did for the OP. Makes the number feel more real, like a surprise gift to yourself.
