Pro tip: a bent knee and a sharp blade saved a job in a tight corner

I was finishing a hallway in a 1920s house in Pasadena, and the last piece needed a perfect cut around a radiator pipe with only about 8 inches of clearance. My knife slipped on the backing, leaving a jagged tear right on the face. I got down on one knee to steady my hand, used a fresh blade to trim the frayed fibers back clean, and tucked the edge tight under the baseboard. What's your go-to move for fixing a bad cut when you can't just hide it with a seam?

My old boss in Tacoma swore by filler putty, but that clean blade trim changed my mind.

What brand of blade trim are we talking about here?
