Tried a seam iron on a tricky wool carpet, no more visible lines
Had a job last week in Portland with a heavy wool berber that kept showing every seam tape edge no matter how I trimmed it. I borrowed a proper seam iron from a buddy instead of my usual flat iron and ran it slower with more pressure, and the seam disappeared completely. Has anyone else switched from a standard iron to a heavy one for thick carpets, or is there a better trick for berber seams you use?
