A bookseller in Amsterdam showed me a copy of Anne Frank's diary with whole pages glued shut
I was browsing a small shop near the Prinsengracht two years ago and the owner pulled out a 1950 Dutch edition where a censor had pasted several pages together. She said some countries cut around 30 percent of the text back then, mostly parts about puberty. I had no idea the edits went that deep. Does anyone know of other diaries or memoirs that got chopped up like this?

Censoring diaries is just editing for kids, not a big deal.
