I tried reading a censored edition of a book next to the original and it changed how I read
I got a copy of a novel from a library sale in Tulsa that was the 1950s school edition, and I read it side by side with the uncut version from 1938. The cuts were mostly small, but after 6 chapters I noticed the main character felt like a different person, so now I try to read two versions when I can.
