Screenshot of my own comment getting hidden on a news site, and the reason they gave was wild
Last Tuesday I was on a local news site in Boise reading about a city council vote on bike lanes. I left a comment with the vote count, 5 to 2, pulled straight from the article itself. Two hours later my comment was gone. No email, no notice. I took a screenshot before it vanished because I always do that now. Later I checked from my wife's phone, still logged out, and the whole comment section was down to four comments, all of them pro-bike lane. So I posted my screenshot on my own page and tagged the paper. A reporter actually messaged me back the next day and said a mod flagged my comment as 'off topic.' The vote count. Off topic. In an article about the vote. I asked them to explain and they stopped replying. Anyone else seen a mod note that made less sense than the thing they removed?
