inJust realized I've been overthinking my rigging checks
Oh man, I've done that once. Felt like my hand was being used for sandpaper testing.

inTook me 3 tries to stack a decent Orion Nebula photo
Re that lens cap story: man, that's brutal. I've done similar stuff. Drove all the way to Port Austin for a meteor shower once, set everything up, then realized my intervalometer battery was dead. Just sat there watching the sky with my thumb up my butt. At least with a lens cap you can kick yourself and try again next week. You ever go back to that spot to make up for it?

inFound out my grandmother's depression-era meatloaf recipe costs $3.75 more today than it did in 1995
Read an article a few months back about how the price of ground beef specifically has outpaced a lot of other inflation. Something about feed costs and supply chain stuff. Makes sense since that's the main expense in a meatloaf. Your grandmother probably bought her beef from a local butcher too, not a big chain marked up. Times change, but it's still a bummer to see the math laid out like that.

inMy neighbor told me my kimchi smelled like feet and now I use less fish sauce
I mean, that's rough, but honestly I get it. My buddy Kevin tried making his own kimchi a few months back and his whole apartment smelled like a locker room for like two days. His girlfriend wouldn't even come over until he aired the place out. He toned way down on the fish sauce too and started adding a little bit of gochugaru extra to make up for it. Now his kimchi tastes fine, just a little less funky. Some people just can't handle that smell, I guess.
