Warning: One blurry screenshot in a meme group ate 9 days of my life
So back in January I grabbed a screenshot of a news page that got blanked out here in the Philippines, and I dropped it in a meme group just to show a friend. It got pulled in under 10 minutes, no warning, no reason given. I figured whatever, I'll just repost it, but then my account got a 3 day mute, so I tried posting it from my backup and that one got flagged too. Turns out the auto filter was reading the text inside my screenshot, not my post, because I circled the headline in red and that made it stand out to the scanner. I ended up cropping the image smaller, retyping the headline by hand in the post, and it finally stuck on day 9. Has anyone else had a filter flag the words inside a screenshot instead of the caption? Because I still don't get how it read the pixels.
Filters reading text inside pics is old news to me. Friend got a beauty product post nuked because the label on the bottle had a word the system didn't like. She even tried slanting the photo, no luck. The scanner didn't care about her caption at all. Only fix was blurring the label into a smudge. So yeah, cropping and retyping by hand is the move. Your red circle basically put a spotlight on the words for the bot.
