Got muted in a Discord server last month for typing the word 'gyatt' in a chat about my nephew's birthday
So last month I was in this gaming Discord I have been part of for about 2 years, and my nephew turned 11, so I posted a pic of his cake and said something like 'he hit the gyatt cake milestone' as a joke. Within 30 seconds a mod muted me for 24 hours and the auto bot flagged 'gyatt' as a slur, which I did not even know was possible. I messaged the mod team and they said the filter was added after some raid back in March and nobody bothered to check what words it was catching. I ended up just typing 'I meant his birthday cake, chill' in another channel and got a second mute for arguing with mod actions. Three weeks later they actually fixed the filter and unbanned like 40 people who got hit by the same thing. Curious if anyone else has been taken out by a filter that was clearly set up in a panic and never reviewed?
