A client in Boise had me try a new creosote remover spray against my usual powder
I used the 'ChimneySweep Pro' spray on one half of a really bad flue and my normal powder on the other. The spray cut my scrub time down by about 15 minutes because it stuck to the vertical surfaces so much better and started working right away. Has anyone else found a spray product that actually works as well as they say?

Always thought powders were better, but sprays really do work faster.

Yeah, the_charles is right about sprays working faster. That sticking power on vertical walls is a total game changer, it means the product is actually working where you need it instead of just falling down. I've had the same experience where a good spray turns a tough job into just a normal clean up. It makes me wonder if the old powder method is going to fade out for a lot of these really caked on jobs.

My last bathroom had this one tile wall behind the toilet that was a nightmare. Powder just slid right off. I had to use a spray and let it sit for like 15 minutes, then it wiped off easy. @the_charles got me thinking, is it the gel-like thickness that makes the difference? I wonder if powders will stick around just for flat surfaces, but sprays own anything vertical.
